Mauritius also offers a wide variety of hikes and walks all around the island. This is an activity that both my husband and I enjoy and we have been on some nice ones along rivers, in endemic forests, on mountain flanks or on the beach along the sea.

Eco-tourism and adventure tourism have also been on the rise here and new trails see the day all the time. Some of them are on private land and you will need to pay a fee to have access to those, others are free. Both are worth it, depending of course on your budget and what you are looking for. We hope to give you a nice selection here from which you can choose from.
