Grand Baie La Croisette

When you come to Grand Baie from the highway, there is a new feature that you cannot miss: Grand Baie La Croisette.

On our visit to the Coin de Mire last year, we didn’t stop for a visit as the shopping complex had just opened and was not completely finished and operational yet.

At the end of the year, when we came back to the north, we decided to at least stop and see what it was like.

We came there more for a stroll and out of curiosity than for any kind of shopping… so for all shopping lovers who wants details about the different shops I’m afraid I won’t be able to give you any tips unfortunately.

The complex was still pretty new, and even though it was the end of the year, there was not that many people around.

The children really liked the big cartoon like figures and spent a while investigating them, trying at the same time to get a little splash of water!

This big half bulb like feature is kind of weird, but in a good way. I usually like things that springs out of the ordinary and feels a little out of place.

May be because it was close to Christmas time, there were some attractions on the place.

And of course it did get our attention, especially the children’s. Some of them went for the slides and others for the big elastic thingies.

Feeling like a child myself, I would certainly have liked to try those too!

But it was already time to leave and get back to our relaxing week-end. Not sure when I’ll be back, but at least now I can say that I’ve been to Grand Baie La Croisette!

What about you? Have you been to Grand Baie La Croisette? Out of all the brand new shopping malls popping up like mushrooms in Mauritius, which one is your favorite?
